Well I'm back in the Smoky Mountains after a brief hiatus due to knee pain. Follow along as I complete my intended trip in the Elkmont area to campsite 28. I originally intended on completing a lollipop hike (semi-loop) by taking Middle Prong trail to Panther Creek then back to Jakes Creek, but it had rained hard all night long and Panther's creek has nine (yes, NINE!) water crossings, one of which is dangerous in high water. So instead, I turned this into a yo-yo trip and simply hiked back the way I came on day two.
