Dan Goes Hiking's video: Backpacking the Manistee River Loop - Two Days

Back on the Manistee River Loop! My wife and I spent two gorgeous days backpacking this beautiful Michigan trail. This is always one of my favorite routes to hike and never disappoints. We parked at the Upper River Road trailhead and hiked clockwise, starting on the North Country Trail then connecting to the Manistee River Trail. Being a beautiful summer weekend, the trail was SUPER crowded, which made finding a good campsite a bit more difficult. The best campsites near the river tend to go quickly, so start your hike early! That being said, campsites are plentiful, especially on the Manistee River Trail, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding something eventually.
