We visit Ammonite Falls in Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island - one of the best waterfalls on the island! This is a must-see if you can get there. It's a 30 minutes to walk to the falls, with a few ups and down spots along the way - nothing too challenging until the end where you have to navigate down to the water using ropes permanently installed. This part of the hike definitely raises the level from easy to moderate. In the summer months, when it's not raining and there is no mud, it's much easier, but there is less water going over the waterfall.
