Not long ago someone asked about my pack. Why do I carry such a big pack for day hiking? Here in this video I will answer these questions. For the most part it has a lot to do with my background in the backcountry. One of my first backpacking trips was when I spent my tenth birthday at Phantom Ranch in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. At fourteen years of age I started rock climbing. Not long after that I joined the Arizona Mountain Rescue Team. I learned a lot and saw many things that I never wanted to have happen to me.
