CASTLE PODSREDA - GRAD PODSREDA * DTTV The Podsreda castle stands on the northern slope of Orlice in the heart of Kozjansko regional park above the village of Podsreda. It was built in the first half of the 12th century. At that time, he usually had a simple orthogonal design. Around the year 1180 a high tower was built, about 1220 south residence and around 1260 a chapel. The Podsreda Castle lives a full and rich life especially during the warmer months when the castle hosts events featuring domestic and foreign artists. In particular, the city comes to life in warm summer evenings, when concerts of renowned Slovene and foreign musicians and musical seminars take place in the atrium under the mighty vaults of the Musical Summer program at the Podsreda castle.
