With my AFRICA series done, ive had some time off to think about what I want to make on this channel going forward. It made me think of a few other things as well. Why I love YouTube for instance. On one side you have the clicks, views and subscribers, which of course is a motivating factor if youre planning to take this youtube presence seriously. But for the Africa series, which is basically a vlog, I had to consider the goal and outcome for making it, considering it has taken a lot of time to make. Let me explain. If youre not a professional videomaker or have a huge vlogstyle channel (Casey Neistat type channel and similar). Few people are likely to stop by. Thats just reality. But I wanted to make the best memory I could mostly for myself from this trip that turned out to be my biggest adventure yet! It was definitely a challenge, working with random footage, but I learned a ton in the process. A lot about how important it is to have a plan. I had no plan when I was there. Learning by burning I guess! Still I got 10 episodes I can stand behind, and be proud of! Not to mention all the great experiences, photos and shall we say minor troubles with the car (breaking down all the time). It is now preserved on YouTube for everyone to see. Another thought was that this would be a great way for current and future people watching my channel to see what I am about. And that is camera adventures. Which leads us on to the future of the channel. I have the idea that if youre out and about with a camera, shooting images. Everyday has the potential of being an adventure! If that is in the bush of Africa, or shorter photowalks in your neighborhood. If I have learned one thing about photography, it is that you train yourself to see interestingness everywhere. And I love that idea. Thats also why I love streetphotoggraphy. And thats what you can expect a lot of going forward on my channel. I will take you with me on small adventures, and I will also share my ideas, techniques I use and useful mindsets for when youre out on streetphotography adventures. Ive got a lot to show you in this next chapter of the channel, so I hope to see you around :) And if you came to the channel just for Africa, do not worry. I always go back to Africa!
