Daniel Bryn's video: SHIBUYA JAPAN STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

I took my Panasonic Lumix S1 for some photography in and around Shibuya Crossing for a few hours. Normally I use my Fujifilm XT30 for this type of work, as it is more stealthy for candid street photography But in one of the biggest crossings in the world, Shibuya Crossing, it doesnt matter that much if you are out and about with your big bulky camera. Over 2 million people pass this crossing each day, so you can kick back, and just enjoy photography I used only the 24-105mm f4.0 L mount kit lens. And I really missed a faster lens, like I have on my Fuji. I dont get why Panasonic didnt release a f2.8 immediately. That would have made me use it a lot more for photography. As it got darker I had to push the ISO quite a bit, and although it handles high ISO quite well, I would have got better results with a faster lens. Anyway, Tokyo is amazing for streetphotography - you can do it all here, with neon lights, candid street portraits, architecture, great for shooting portraits in random neon lit locations (video coming soon). This is how I typically do my street photo sessions. I pick a location, and hang around there for as long as I feel like.
