When I was tallying the votes, I was about halfway and I still had no idea who was gonna win. It was a very interesting turnout and also made me realize we had a lot of tropical EDM this year haha. My taste greatly differs from this list so I'll be making my own video next (like last year). So stay tuned for that. Until then, enjoy this one! It will include my honest opinion and if you can't handle people not loving your bias, then my gawd, stop reading now. Artists & Live Performances (& Music Videos MV) of Songs Include: B.A.P / 비에이피 - Wake Me Up - This is the B.A.P that fans have really admired (One Shot & 1004). I never actually downloaded this song because it didn't grab me like 1004 did on my first listen. However, editing this song here and listening to it again, I found the song growing on me. BLACKPINK / 블랙핑크 - As if It's Your Last / 마지막처럼 - With a song that's breaking records and getting an insane amount of views, you'd think this is the best song of the year, right? I honestly don't see it. The song definitely has a lot of potential and has a lot of great parts, but I really don't like the execution of the 2nd half of the chorus (the 마지막처럼 part). I feel it was lazily done and would prefer they sung that part instead. Brave Girls / 브레이브걸스 - Rollin / 롤린 - I don't really have an opinion on this song. It's just alright to me. BTS / Bangtan Boys / 방탄소년단 - Spring Day / 봄날 - Hmm... I was surprised. I think it's gotten to a point that people are sick of seeing them top a lot of videos. OR people have come to realize they no longer need to vote for them because their strong fanbase can handle it. Their comeback was also a lot earlier this year and a lot has happened since then. All in all, I was quite surprised to not see them do that well in the results here. I actually liked their comeback songs this year. Oh well. Cross Gene / 크로스진 - Black or White - I really liked this song. It was refreshing to see how they took (Clue+Note) a step further and made something even more seamless. The whole concept was really neat. DAY6 / 데이식스 - I Wait / 아 왜 - Love Love LOVED this song. What a way to start off the year! Dreamcatcher / 드림캐쳐 - Good Night - I honestly have never heard of them before the voting video started. Dear god, how on earth did I overlook them?! I love their concept! It's everything I love about J-rock haha. K.A.R.D. / 카드 - Don't Recall - I'm more of a Rumor guy but this song also seemed to be growing on me while I was editing this video. MONSTA X / 몬스타엑스 - Beautiful / 아름다워 - I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of this song. Not my taste, I guess. NCT 127 - Limitless / 무한적아 - Same goes for this one too. I found myself liking the chorus as I was editing this, but the verses are just things I can't get on board with. Seventeen / 세븐틴 - Don't Wanna Cry / 울고 싶지 않아 - Another one that wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I liked another Seventeen song from this year though WINNER / 위너 - Really Really / 릴리릴리 - I have a hard time with this song because Seungyoon's vocal delivery in this song really bothers me.
