Darin Beard's video: How I Remove Rust from Power Tools without vinegar - Light Tool Rehab

Sometimes tools get rusty, especially if you live in a humid climate. If you find a good deal on a used power tool, often it will have some rust on it somewhere. Light rehab on the tools to remove the rust is not very difficult and not very time consuming. I recently got a drill press from my dad that had been rained on and stored in a shed for a while. It had quite a bit of surface rust on just about every part of it. I wanted to do a quick clean up and get as much rust off as I could. I'll walk you through what I did here so you can see how I go about it and hopefully it helps you if you ever need to do that same.
