Dave-K's video: YTP - The Rosen Venture Part 7 - SnanS Edition

@YTP - The Rosen Venture [Part 7] - SnanS Edition
What is the SnanS Edition? It's a slight update of Rosen Venture Part 7. Includes the new watermark, alternate colour grading, a corrected SnanS counter and has been upscaled to 2K for better YouTube Compression (Not that it would matter much with a YTP this old but whatever.) Why so few changes? Two reasons. 1. The original project files are gone and only the numerous test/near final renders remain. I effectively had to reverse-engineer this to update it in any way. 2. This was all made in a version of Final Cut that lacked advanced tools such as Masking or proper Colour Grading, it demonstrates what a software like Vegas or Premiere can achieve and is meant to encourage people to push their softwares to the limits. Pulling a George Lucas Special Edition on this would go against that original intention so I instead chose to preserve as much of the original video as possible, warts and all. (Sentence mixing, chroma keying, the 'al' towards the end, etc) Everything you see here can still be done in Final Cut, and since newer updates have added many more tools, you can probably make it even better nowadays. Why release this now? Another two reasons. 1. This version was originally exclusive to Vidme, a nice alternative to YouTube that sadly closed down some time ago. Though this probably would've remained off of YouTube if it weren't for my second reason... 2. To reinvigorate interest in the series for those that may've forgotten about it. It's been almost a year and a half since Part 9 was released and amidst a bunch of problems IRL, Ryan (DrHotelMario) has been hard at work making Part 10 the best it can possibly be in whatever time he can spare (We're all succumbing to an incurable disease called "adulthood"). We all hope you enjoy Part 10 once it's done. What about you Dave? What're your future plans? I'll try to lend a hand with finishing off this series if Ryan needs help, but in terms of everything else, well, I can't keep promises anymore. I'm so out-of-the-loop with YTPs and the whole community that even if I had the time during what is currently my last year at Uni, I feel like I've long become an outcast or an old fart, like I'm still desperately clambering for a hobby that's so far out of reach. 2015 was the best year of my life, with this flawed but ambitious video being the crown jewel of it all. Now though, I'm don't have the confidence or self-esteem to be Dave-K anymore, Uni and personal issues have changed that forever, but just because I may not be making YTPs anymore doesn't mean there isn't any other brilliant creators making equally awesome or even better stuff. Have a look around and you'll find many more still able to excel with YTPs, but as for me, well, no promises. It ain't much, but hope you enjoy and have a happy new year. - Jake. ------------------------ Ensure that you have watched the previous 6 episodes before viewing: Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-iQLdgDi6I&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE&index=1 Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YujLo5KjmWc&index=2&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE Part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_cDLO07e0Q&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE&index=3 Part 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-0ZMdhyMgs&index=4&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE Part 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2Lb0TAv9Pc&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE&index=5 Part 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajh6leGQy68&list=PLvKDWOgu5TJU9EESpFM6qzREygg9xkyQE&index=6 Check out 256Pi's Channel for the next installment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XInSGAtLsJE The Rosen Venture Wiki Page: http://256pi-trfc.wikia.com/wiki/The_Rosen_Venture_%28series%29 Oh boy, now the music...: 0:14 : "American Beauty" by Thomas Newman 0:52 : "Don't Give Up" by Basement Jaxx vs. Metropole Orkest 1:46 + 7:54 : "Mahalageasca" (from Borat OST) 2:26 : "Requiem for Soprano" by Francis Travis 2:53 + 3:29 : "Times Change" - WoW - Warlords of Draenor Soundtrack 3:29 : "The Dark and Endless Dalek Night" by Murray Gold 3:48 : "London Nautica" - "Wolfenstein: The New Order" Soundtrack + "Hangar" - "Doom PSX" music. 4:24 : Sounds from "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" 4:57 : "Saturn, The Bringer of Old Age" - Holst: The Planets 5:30 : "Mars, The Bringer of War" - Holst: The Planets 6:05 : "Rebel Blockade Runner" by John Williams 6:26 : "The Atlas March" - "Cloud Atlas" Soundtrack 7:01 : "Krypton Destroyed" by John Ottman (Unreleased) 8:07 : YTPMV - 203: A Plam Odyssey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBmsoMetcxg Special Thanks to the following: DrHotelMario: For Keying assistance, Feedback, assets and Inviting me to participate in the first place! 256Pi: For providing some much needed assets.
