Flying from Manchester across the snow covered Alps to Verona Airport, we then travelled by coach up the Adige Valley - surrounded on either side by mountainous scenery before tunnelling through to the northern shores of Lake Garda past Riva and on to Limone. Hotel Le Palme could not be accessed by the coach but the hotel provided a courtesy buggy to transport guests and luggage along the pedestrianised busy lakeside pavement and winding paths to the hotel next to the ferry terminal.
