Dave Turner - Theatre Bassist's video: Kansas Dave Hope Paradox - bass cover

@Kansas / Dave Hope "Paradox" - bass cover
In this video I recreate Dave Hope's bass line to the Kansas song "Paradox" from their 1977 album "Point of Know Return." I do not own this music. This video is for educational purposes only. OOPS! 0:00 start 3:28 I just miss the Db by a 16th note due to a missed pick stroke 3:32 I also flub he high Gb due to "thinking" about the previous mistake Not gonna lie; this is a tricky song to play and you can go off the rails at just about ANY moment. The groove at 0:20 is quite tricky to finger, especially when it goes up to the E. The part for the guitar solo is a difficult lick in F minor pentatonic, and the final lick at the end of the song has an extra added 2 eighth notes that are not present in the other versions of the lick, so your brain can easily fold if you aren't ready for it. All in all a fun but challenging song to perform in one take.
