Cinematic drone video of the Wood Island Life Saving Station at sunset. Shot on December 27, 2018 with the DJI Mavic Pro. Built in 1909, The Wood Island Life Saving Station was abandoned by the US government in the early 1950s. The property was transferred to the town of Kittery in 1973 with the provision that the island be maintained for recreational use by the public. In 2011, the Wood Island Life Saving Station Association was formed to save and restore the building and use the property as a maritime museum.
