Human Epithelial Cells, believed to originate from a cancer divide and spread rapidly. The metaphase plate created as the chromosomes line up and then pull apart can be seen forming in the dividing cells. Between divisions the DNA is dispersed within the nucleus as chromatin. The nucleus is the large ovoid structure with dark patches in it that sits roughly in the centre of the cell.
