David Gray's video: Low Gap Trail Southern Indiana Backpacking - Fall Color Tour - October 2014

@Low Gap Trail (Southern Indiana) Backpacking - Fall Color Tour - October 2014
An overnight backpacking trip with my two dogs, Jaden and Bailey Rose, on what is basically my 'home' trail. The Low Gap Trail in southern Indiana doesn't have the grandeur of Glacier National Park, but the fall leaf colors were near peak making this a nice overnighter. This video is quite a bit different than my other videos because I did a large number of Les Stroud / Survivorman style clips in which I would walk up the trail, set up the camera, walk back down the trail, turn around, walk toward the camera and get the shot, and collect the camera (a lot of extra effort - no film crew, just me). I also used a neat Canon bluetooth wireless remote microphone for the first time which I think improved the sound quality considerably. I called this a 'backpacking' trip because I did haul everything in a pack, and I carried a backpack on the entire 10-mile loop, but in reality this was a hybrid camping/backpacking outing. I parked the car about a mile from my camp, and took an extra trip back-and-forth to the car to haul in a folding chair and firewood (fair warning to purists). It was 13 miles total for the day - the 10 mile loop plus 3 additional mile trips to and from the car (1 down - 2 up). For those unfamiliar with the Low Gap Trail this video will give you a nice overview of some of the main highlights.
