David Gray's video: Tecumseh Trail Indiana Backpacking - November 2015

I pulled my gear out of winter storage to squeeze in a quick November overnight backpacking trip on the Tecumseh Trail, and extend my already action-packed 2015 season. The dogs and I did the first 15 or so miles of the northernmost section of the Tecumseh Trail, southbound to the Fox Den Shelter for our campsite, then return the next day. The weather was exceptional for November in Indiana - mid-50's and sunny during the day and a chilly 30 degF for the nightime low. I thought this late in the season I'd have the place to myself, and the woods were empty except the occasional hunter, but surprisingly I met a group of four backpackers already set up at the shelter. This made for a pleasant AT-style shelter social scene that added to the overall experience. Coincidentally, I began the 2015 backpacking season in early April with this exact hike (no video on that one), so this proved the perfect way to conclude what turned out to be an excellent backpacking season for me. Now, let the planning for 2016 begin!
