‘Tis the season… for my oven to break down, and just when I need it the most. Never mind, I have a replacement element, a well-stocked toolbox, a good resistance tester and an unhealthy supply of profane language and strong beer all to hand. Actually, that last one is rather irresponsible of me; if you’re undertaking electrical work, never do it while under the influence of the demon drink kids. I’m not normally this far gone until about 4PM, maybe half-four tops, but Christmas is that one day in the year when one can wake up and reach for the fizzy without anyone else giving it the evils, so dash it all and down the hatch! Oh, and be sure to wash your hands thoroughly when handling raw turkey. And make sure it’s properly cooked through. Come on, you’re all adults, figure this stuff out for yourselves for goodness sake; I’m not your bloody dad. Merry Christmas!
