David Soriano's video: Zinc Bromine Gravity Flow Cell II

@Zinc Bromine Gravity (Flow) Cell II
Following Kevin Bollinger's video from a few years ago, I scaled down the dimensions of his cell in order to observe some performance details such as zinc dendrite formation. The cell was charged at 3.3V/ about .4amps for about two hrs. The open voltage was 1.78-9 V with no potential drop in one hr. I am running a small DC motor as mechanical load. I uploaded an earlier short video on this type of cell with some other information. I will electroplate zinc on circular carbon pads for a second cell being designed. I want uniform zinc deposition over a greater area to boost amperage and to create a harder material for cell insertion and stability. This is 1886 technology which serves as an excellent demo cell in the 'energy-storage' sector of current battery science and power distribution. A high-quality video with experimental design and quantitative data will be uploaded soon! I am interested in deep-discharge capability of this cell. 0.5V ?? DO NOT DO THIS EXPERIMENT IN A HOME! It is best in a fume hood or outdoors. You do not want to spill the cell contents containing the liquid bromine. I am moving the cell into my lab fume hood! I am conducting the study in glass because I want to observe zinc dendrite growth and bromine formation, etc. This is a 200 ml. volume cell. my website: http://www.batteryscience.us
