@I bought the fastest Volvo
Can a sports car teach you a language? Let's find out. The video about the setup that I use to watch foreign TV shows and movies: https://youtu.be/cCWekYY2QwY All of the things listed below can be of benefit to you as well as helping me make better language learning videos. You're awesome, thank you. PATREON: Get extended cuts of videos, articles and interviews with successful language learners: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=38320669&fan_landing=true New to a language? Get 40% off any premium membership and help me make better videos by using the appropriate code (6 months or more include all languages no matter which you choose, though you still need to use the appropriate code to the language you click on): ENGLISH: FNS1 SPANISH: FNS2 FRENCH: FNS3 GERMAN: FNS4 ITALIAN: FNS5 RUSSIAN: FNS6 ESTONIAN: FNS7 FINNISH: FNS8 Find Speakly for ANDROID here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.owlab.speakly&hl=en_US&gl=US Speakly for APPLE here: https://apps.apple.com/ee/app/speakly-learn-languages/id1255478968 Another one of my favourite apps is called Drops. If you’re looking for perfect language learning, you won't find it but you may find improved language learning. If you’re trying to build a habit of 30 minutes a day of listening to your language and you’re struggling because other apps distract you, then change the environment. Try setting your phone onto a foreign language podcast, put it in a pencil case and then that in a backpack, and go for a walk. Or look into an mp3 player to immerse in a language with. If you like your car then try this one, maybe you can do it in the day and only bring a book. Leave your phone at home and just drive like three blocks and tell yourself when you’ve read a chapter of your target language you can go back home. There’s always something you can do. I don’t struggle to immerse in a foreign language – I’m always tempted to immerse in foreign languages that I’m not even studying – so it’s not something I struggle with, but I do really struggle to eat well. it invisible, make it inconvenient and complicated to execute, make it less rewarding. If you find it hard to sit down and study your language, put it in front of your eyes – make it impossible to ignore. Work out whatever distracts you the most and make that harder to get at. No, of course not, I’ve got language learning videos planned – but I’m also working on a comprehensive analogy for language learners’ brain. CHAPTERS: 00:00 Yes I really did buy a car 00:41 Does immersion shape your choices? 02:05 What exactly is the problem? 03:22 Addictions are environmental 04:46 A strange solution 06:35 Building a habit of language learning 07:32 Do the smallest thing 09:08 Stop talking about cars The end of the description is an interesting place: Let me know if you got all the flag jokes.
