Hi, I am Noah and I believe in soulmates. What I don't believe is the common misconception that we only have one soulmate our entire lives. With over 7 billion people in the world, what are the odds? Still not convinced? Well… sit back and let me tell you my story. At one point, I believed everything was black and white and that it was set in stone that we only have one life partner... until I met her. Before Dahlia, I never had to ponder over who this life partner was. I’d had my answer since my senior year in high school—it was undoubtedly Chrissy. Chrissy and I got together in my senior year in high school. No, it's not what you think—our story isn't like the cliché stuff you see on TV. We weren't some sort of power couple. We were just us, Chrissy and Noah. She was on the school debate team and I was a mathlete. It all started one day when I was walking to school. It was late spring, we lived in Louisiana, and I was without an umbrella. It started raining and I knew if I stopped and took shelter somewhere, I would miss my first class. While I was weighing my options, Chrissy rode by on her bicycle and offered me a ride. I tried to convince her that the logical thing to do was wait until the rain stopped, but this woman wasn't having it. So we pedaled to school in grand style. In case you are wondering, she didn't let me ride the bicycle. Nonetheless, that was the start of something beautiful. Chrissy went from being my high school sweetheart to my college girlfriend. College is really not an easy place to be in a committed relationship; it requires a lot of self-discipline. We didn't always have that. Things between us weren't always peachy. I had my faults and she had hers, we swore it was over so many times, but somehow, we found ourselves back together. Finally, we graduated and moved to Minnesota, Chrissy became a hotshot lawyer and got a job at a popular law firm, I went into real estate, and we got a house together. Somewhere along the line, we got married and we had our beautiful daughter Cheryl. I am not going to say we have a perfect marriage, but what we have comes pretty close. We both help out around the house and we alternate PTA meeting attendance. It was Chrissy's turn to go, but she called saying she couldn't make it. She was swamped with work at the office and so I had to go.
