Sign up here: https://goalsforyourlife.com/free-piano-course/ Even if it’s been years and years since you’ve had your hands on a piano, I want to encourage you in starting up again with your music. Music has the power to lower stress, to keep the mind sharp (think staving off Alzheimers or Dementia!) and add fun to your life! But you need to START! If you never take that first step, the benefits that music provides will do you no good! Then, you will want to keep consistent with your practice. Schedule time in—preferably the same time each day. Make it a new habit! It doesn’t take much, but even 10-15 min. a day, 5x a week will move you forward quite quickly and will add so much enjoyment to your life! According to many of the time-management studies out there, most of you have that time, or can make that time. Don’t worry about how things sound to others, especially when you are getting going again. Enjoy the sound for YOURSELF! Also, move at your own pace. I give step-by-step instructions in all my programs and the beauty of having video instruction is that you can go over each section again and again if needed. All of the principles and lessons provided in all my music courses are good for playing on either an electronic keyboard or an acoustic piano. I have a free download on the differences of each and what to look for if you need to get an instrument, so make sure you get it. The three videos in this mini course are on hand position, basic notes on the keyboard and on the written page and 5-note scales and major chords. I never assume you know all of this, and even though my programs are geared to the intermediate, I make sure all the basics are covered. You can always fast forward, but if you have huge gaps in your technique, that will prove to be more difficult later on. So I hope you enjoy this little course.
