Light 'Em Up: An on-going series of performances that we as fans simply cannot afford to forget Being a Jazz fan this may seem bias but all you have to do is simply look at the numbers Hayward put up in this one to see just how good it was. If you watched this game you will understand how huge he was for Utah. Firstly he scored a career high 37 points, secondly he missed a total of 3 shots, I'll say that again, he dropped 37 and missed 3 TOTAL shots in the entire game. The guy was balling in this one. Did I mention he also grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out 7 assists and also got 2 steals and 1 block. Oh and he did it in 37 minutes. One last thing, he scored Utah's last 17 points, that tells you how clutch he was and how dominant he was down the stretch. He is underrated but people are realising just how good he is. By the way the title says he out duelled Kevin Durant, Durant did explode for 48 points, but he went 14 of 34 from the field. Compare the two, they went head to head down the stretch, Durant scored 48 on 34 shots but Hayward scored 37 on just 16 shots and he lead his side to victory, that's a win every day of the week.
