My Visit to JIM CORBETT I JIM CORBETT National Park I Deep's Diary (in Hindi) About JIM CORBETT National Park: Jim Corbett National Park is a forested wildlife sanctuary in northern India’s Uttarakhand State. Jim Corbett national park safari is an amazing experience. This is one of the places near Delhi for a weekend gateaway. How can I go to Jim Corbett National Park from Delhi? By Rail: Ramnagar is the only nearest railway station to Jim Corbett National Park. A direct train to Ramnagar runs from Delhi. Alternatively, one can reach up to Haldwani/Kashipur/Kathgodam and come to Ramnagar by road. Taxis are easily available from these stations. Recommended Resorts at JIM CORBETT National Park: I stayed in Atulya Resort. Its a really a good resort. The rooms are spacious and well lit and the service was quite good. JIM CORBETT National Park SAFARI: Booking - You can book online safari for a day safari to Jim Corbett National Park from the official forest department website. Go to 'book day visit' section and select zone and fill other details and book. This is the first step though, to book the permits. Out of the 6 gates best is Dhikala Gate at JIM CORBETT National Park Dhangadi Gate ( Dhikala Zone) Amdanda Gate ( Bijrani Zone) Jhirna Gate ( Zhirna Zone) Durga Devi Gate ( Lohachaur Zone) JIM CORBETT National Park - Timing: Timings - Morning - 6:00 AM - 9.30 AM | Evening 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Safari Timing Varies as Season Changes) JIM CORBETT National Park - Best time to Visit: Best time to visit Jim Corbett National Park- With temperate weather, Corbett lets you visit the Park all year long, but the best time to visit - it Jim Corbett National Park is between November and February i.e, during the winter season when all the zones are open, and you can spot the most animals. Summers, though hot, isn't unbearable. Corbett National Park safari remains closed during the monsoons. All zones of Corbett Tiger Reserve are closed for night halts by visitors from 15th June to 14th November. Bijrani Zone: The Bijrani Zone remains closed for day visits from 30th June to 14th October. Keep you fingers crossed for tigers. Apart from safari, you can visit Corbett fall (a waterfall away from the park), Garjiya temple, Sitabani and Nainital. A trip of 2–4 days would be the best, in terms of family outing and budget.
