Den Soath's video: Is it worth camping on top of Bearnagh during the Storm

@Is it worth camping on top of Bearnagh during the Storm?
Camping on top of Slieve Bearnagh, Mourne Mountain, County Down It's a spectacular place to experience _ a place that most people dreamed of. In fact, It's the place for hiking not to get you excited but it’s also a perfect place for camping as well. It’s the Mourne Mountains, the most famous area in Northern Ireland. It’s my current home and I definitely feel like I am living the dream. I am about to show you something exciting. Something that I have never done before. Something I long dreamt of. And it starts right here… On June 19 2020, my buddies; Andrew, Michael, Chris, Jack and I meant to set up the tents-- camping on top of Bearnagh Mountains. We’ve been planning this trip for weeks. It was the day that we got to make it to reality. As the day has come, I woke up in the morning. I looked at the windows outside my house. I can only see the cold grey dark sky-- it was a horrendous day. It was raining, in fact, it meant to rain all day. Do I need to look at the weather forecast to see what the weather is like? Ehh.. It won’t help. This is Northern Ireland and it pretty much happens all year round anyway. 1:30 pm; I packed up, got my gadgets ready. Then I drove to Andrew’s house. Then we drove to Jack’s. Shortly after, Chris arrived-- then we made our way to the car park. Michael, on the other hand, was already there in the car park, waiting patiently. As the rain kept falling so did the time, then, what are we waiting for? 4:45pm, we were on our way to the mountain. To start of; First, we couldn’t work out our way to Bearnagh, Andrew meant to be a map’s man. However, he left the map behind. That helps, isn’t it? Then we stopped for a discussion. We figured out the new plan. Then it came up with the wall work. Which was fine but it took a bit longer than the originals’. We walked and walked, hours after hours, rain kept falling, crossing the range one after another, the sky was dark, the wind was consistently blowing. We were getting wet, our clothes, boots starting to get heavier. It makes our journey way tougher. On the journey there it was pretty much halfway to the Bearnagh, we stopped at the rocky house, it wasn’t anything particularly fancy but it was kind of a place, a good little spot to hide from a nasty storm. So, we stopped, we had snacks and drinks, etc… Shortly after, we left the miracle shelter and pushed to the wall, somewhere out there on the mountain. When we passed the wall, we started to proceed our way downhill. Which was a huge help. While we walked down the rain started to stop. It was half-past seven already at that point, we gotta be at the top to set up our tents, we’re starving and we need to cook our food-- and of course we try to make it to the sunset. Top looks stunning from the bottom. That makes sense of course, however, getting up there, on the other hand, was the most difficult one -- and none of us wouldn’t want to do that. We are determined to get to the top. So it took us 45 minutes to reach a high peak. So we can settle our home for the night and try to relax and enjoy the magnificent views. Most importantly, to enjoy our success and great company on the top side of Bearnagh. Bearnagh Facts via Wikipedia: Slieve Bearnagh is one of the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland. It has a height of 739 metres. Its summit is crowned by two tors with a gap between them, giving it a distinctive shape. The Mourne Wall crosses the summit of Slieve Bearnagh east to west
