Hi Art Family! Let's paint a expressive and colorful family of elephants in acrylic paint. This is a step by step, fully narrated painting tutorial for painting elephants in a loose and interpretive style. Follow along with me and paint your own one of a kind version. I am painting on a large stretched cotton canvas, you can paint on any surface you like. In today's lesson I will show you how to select your reference photo and how to transfer it to your canvas using the Grid Method of drawing. We will make a full tonal underpainting using yellow ochre and phthalo blue red shade, then move on to a full color painting layered on top.
