Hello. I'm Dr. Raghav. This video is on anti-oxidants. I have explained everything in a very easy and lucid language in Hindi. Anti-oxidants are substances that help eliminate oxygen free radicals. Oxygen free radicals are the substances that are formed inside a cell as a part of the process of metabolism. Chemically, they are free radical moieties which are highly reactive. This avidity for chemical reaction makes them harmful for the cell nd as a result for the body. Oxygen free radicals damage the cell in more than one ways. They damage DNA. It has been found in studies that these free radicals play a very crucial role in the process of ageing. In this video I have explained what the anti-oxidants are and how they stop the process of ageing. Anti-oxidants as the name suggests, kill oxygen free radicals and thus slow down the process of ageing. Anti-oxidants are found in nature and are abundantly presently in red colored foods such as beet roots, pomegranates, carrots. This video is targeted for secondary and senior secondary students as well as for general audience who are interested in scientific knowledge in easy Hindi language.
