Just over 100 years ago, the First World War was raging in North Eastern France along the line known as the Western Front. Lorraine, Meuse and Verdun found themselves located on the front line. This video, highlighting the role of America in the conflict and the memorials dedicated to US Soldiers in France, is an introduction to the WWI series « Travels with Darley » by Darley Newman for PBS channel.
