Dick Tracy's video: Dick Tracy Radio - Junior is Kidnapped 4 14 1938

Starring Ned Wever as Dick Tracy and Walter Kinsella as Pat Patton with Keene Crockett on sound effects, this Dick Tracy Radio show aired 4/14/1938 and begins with a Quaker Oats sponsorship advertisement before diving into the fourth of 10 broadcasts in a ten chapter story arc, "Junior is Kidnapped". The Purple Rider has gotten the drop on both Dick Tracy and Vernon Kyle and his villianous gang. The Rider has already made one gang member named Baldy vanish and he takes another named Bill this evening. The Purple Rider wants to punish Kyle for the harm he has caused to Pitchbend and is starting by taking out his gang, one by one. After the Rider leaves, Kyle and Tracy separate with Kyle convinced the Purple Rider is working for Dick. To deal with the detective, Kyle arranges for and has Junior kidnapped from his mountie minder. With Junior in his possession, Vernon Kyle feels he can force Dick Tracy to do whatever he wants. At the end of the broadcast, Pat Patton and the Quaker Man get on to talk about the Crimestoppers Patrol and appoints all listeners to the rank of Patrol Safety Officer, encouraging them to set a good example by obeying traffic lights and signs and cautioning other boys and girls to do the same.
