Dick Tracy's video: Dick Tracy Radio - Purple Rider Lassoed 4 19 1938

Starring Ned Wever as Dick Tracy and Walter Kinsella as Pat Patton with Keene Crockett on sound effects, this Dick Tracy Radio show aired 4/19/1938 and begins with a Quaker Oats sponsorship advertisement before diving into the seventh of 10 broadcasts in a ten chapter story arc, "Dick Lassoes Purple Rider". In this episode, Junior takes the Purple Rider prisoner with a hidden pistol to prevent him from killing two of Vernon Kyle's men and takes them all down the mountain to Pitchblend. Meanwhile, Dick Tracy and Pat Patton are searching the mountain for Junior and have a long conversion about Vernon Kyle's criminal activities to get his hands on the valuable Radium. Tracy and Patton are holding two more of Kyle's men, and come across Junior and his captives on a mountain pass where Junior reveals he only had a riding crop for a weapon. When Dick demands the Purple Rider remove his mask, the rider refuses and rides off with Tracy in hot pursuit. The two leap a dangerous cliff face and Dick lassoes the rider, pulling him from his horse. The rider then demands Tracy let him go or he'll shoot him with a hidden pistol he's been holding. After the broadcast the announcer reminds everyone that tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20th (1938) all patrol members are to wear their Patrol badges for Badge Day.
