@Dick Tracy Radio - Dick Tracy Rescued (4/25/1938)
Starring Ned Wever as Dick Tracy and Walter Kinsella as Pat Patton with Keene Crockett on sound effects, this Dick Tracy Radio show aired 4/25/1938 and begins with a Quaker Oats sponsorship advertisement before concluding the "Purple Rider" story-arc with an episode titled "Dick Tracy Rescued and Kyle Captured." Vernon Kyle and his men have overcame Pat Patton and Dick Tracy and taken them to a secret hideout in the hills, Dick contrives to send Junior a coded message using a Secret Ring. Kyle and his men robbed a local bank and planned to escape to Fairbanks but first they plan to hang Dick and Pat. The end is near but Junior arrives with a force of Mounties just in time and Vernon Kyle and his gang are arrested. Dick, Pat and Junior then depart the great northwest, planning to return home. In route they are contacted by Wyndum Norich, an important and wealthy man who needs them to come to Washington D.C. immediately. Their plane, however, has had it's landing gear disabled and a crash landing seems inevitable.
