It was based on the 906, a street-legal race car. It was shorter and lighter than the 906, and featured Formula 1 style wheels and tyres that were centre-locking instead of the five nut type on the 906. The casting was produced for five years from 1970 always in red over gold primer except for the 1971 Broomsticks release. I didn't realise Lesney used gold primer until I'd completed the build, so I opt to use both red and orange clear coats over a silver paint. I'm quite pleased with the outcome though!
