The next guest we have with us on Trending Talents is Abhishek Banerjee who is being phenomenally praised for his role of Hathoda Tyagi in Amazon Prime Video’s new show Paatal Lok. Abhishek is primarily an actor and then a casting director. He runs a casting company called Casting Bay along with his partner in venture Anmol Ahuja. The company is doing some really superb casting in both films and digital. Talking to our host, he shares his life from childhood, his Delhi days and how he got that one scene in Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti. He emphasises on how he always wanted to become an actor and casting just happened during the journey. He talks about the rejections he faced as an actor which almost made him quit acting but then TVF Pitchers happened and he and everyone else became a BEER with his dialogue “TU BEER HAI” He has been a part of numerous films and shows like Stree, Raid, Dreamgirl, Ajji, Mirzapur, Humorously Yours and many more. He also feels that the main purpose of this lockdown is to teach humans to be Self-dependent/Aatamnirbhar. He emphasised on the importance of body language in acting and how casting helped him improve his craft of acting and also about the network he made during the process that helped him get different kinds of roles.
