DSCARS's video: 2024 BMW X5 Facelift - Mid-Size Premium Crossover SUV

@2024 BMW X5 Facelift - Mid-Size Premium Crossover SUV
The presence and visual robustness of the BMW X5 are significantly enhanced. Its front end features a novel interpretation of the typical BMW headlights and kidney grille. The new headlight unit has a slim profile of 35 mm. The arrow-shaped daytime running light elements point outwards and also act as indicators. The list of options includes Matrix LED headlights with adaptive control, BMW Selective Beam anti-glare high beams and M Shadowline lights. The BMW Kidney Grille Iconic Glow is now available as an option for the 6-cylinder version of the new BMW X5 and, with cascading lights, creates a very eye-catching look specific to the brand. The vertical air curtains and lower air intakes have decorative strips with a chrome pearl effect, while the triangular openings in the exterior area also contribute to the modern look. The subtly updated design of the BMW X5 also includes newly designed air breathers in the front side panels and standard equipment with Exterior Line satin aluminum trim elements and satin aluminum roof rails. The sculptural light guide elements made of light guides for the rear light and brake light have a particularly striking profile. Familiar with his other BMW models, his L-shape is horizontally mirrored to create a consistently illuminated X motif within the taillights. Moving inside the cabin, the 2024 BMW X5 transitions to the Operating System 8 with a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen located behind a single curved glass panel. Other important changes include a simplified center console with most of the controls now integrated into the big display. Slimmer central air vents were necessary to make room for the enlarged screen, and you’ll also notice a small gear selector replacing the old bulky lever. The 2024 X5 M60i also gets ventilated multi-contour seats, M Sport goodies like Integral Active Steering, and Harman Kardon sound standard. Heated seats are standard across the model lineup. The BMW X5 measures 4922mm long, 1745mm tall and 2004mm wide on a 2975mm wheelbase. Boot space is 650L behind the second row for non-hybrid models, expanding to 1870L with it folded. The X5 PHEV offers 500L with the second row in place, expanding to 1720L with it folded. The entry-level setup (xDrive30d) is a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline-six engine making 210kW of power and 650Nm of torque. The 0-100km/h sprint takes a claimed 6.1 seconds, and the engine is backed by a 48V mild-hybrid system. The xDrive40i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six cylinder petrol engine making 280kW and 520Nm, good for a 5.4-second run to 100km/h. It’s backed by a 48V mild-hybrid system. The X5 xDrive50e blends a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined 360kW and 700Nm. The 0-100km/h sprint takes a claimed 4.8 seconds. The range-topping X5 M60i features a new 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine making the same 390kW and 750Nm as before. The 0-100km/h sprint takes a claimed 4.3 seconds. The X5 sDrive40i starts at $65,200, whereas the X5 xDrive40i climbs from $63,900 to $67,500. That’s an increase of $3,600 in both cases. The X5 xDrive50e starts at $72,500, a somewhat more substantial $6,800 increase over the 2023 X5 xDrive45e’s base MSRP of $65,700. The X5 M60i begins at $89,300 – an increase from $85,400 and $89,100.
