Brian Wilson at the Joint venue of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Nevada 01Jul16. This is Brian's last tour with the Pet Sound album played in it's entirety. It's great to honor this musical genius. Release on 16 May 2016, Pet Sounds is the 11th studio album by the Beach Boys. The album is widely considered to be one of the most influential albums in music history. Brian Wilson produced and wrote and composed most of the music on the album. Pet Sounds is an early example of a concept album. Musical innovations for the time include, incorporating non-standard harmonies, timbres, elements of pop, jazz, exotica, classical, avant-garde and psychedelic rock. Sonic arrangements include: typical instruments, layers of vocal harmonies, sound effects, unusual instruments and objects such as bicycle bells, trains, barking dogs,. Wilson utilized lyricist Tony Asher for the album. Many of the songs are introspective like "You Still Believe in Me", "I Know There's an Answer", "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times”.
