Doctor Frank's video: Mom Says Cannabis Helps Her Get Closer to Her Daughters

@Mom Says Cannabis Helps Her Get Closer to Her Daughters
doctorfrank.com As a new mom, you face a lot of challenges getting used to life with a newborn. You’re also probably dealing with lack of sleep, new responsibilities, or even breast pain if you’re nursing. And what about the deep emotional pain that comes after childbirth and won’t let up? Not the milder “baby blues” that typically go away after a week or two. We mean postpartum depression. This is a severe form of clinical depression related to pregnancy and childbirth. It’s more common than you think. One study of 10,000 moms with newborns found that about 1 in 7 get postpartum depression. Luckily, most of those women find that treatment helps. Celia Behar runs a life coaching service, focusing on moms struggling to move forward with their lives and maintaining their goals. Behar also has an interest in postnatal/postpartum depression (PND/PPD) and various other pre- and post- natal conditions. After having her second child, she says she felt nothing for her when leaving the hospital. She would cry when breast feeding her and didn't know what to do when around her. It wasn't until an old friend recommended cannabis to her that she felt true love towards her children again. "I am a mother of two, blogger, and counselor. For a while, I've been contemplating how I could use my personal and professional skills, along with humor and empathy, in a way that could really help women - especially moms- who may be struggling to move their lives forward in a positive, goal-oriented way. Making positive changes is not easy, and, as women, we get 'stuck' and often tend to put our needs last. In fact, as mothers, that tendency frequently becomes status quo. I know all this because it happened to me - I've been stuck before and treated myself as last priority. I've taken paths that turned out to be wrong and had to change directions. There were times when I supposedly had 'the perfect life' on paper but still didn't feel fulfilled. I'm still a work in progress and change is still scary but I've come to realize that it can also be exciting and opens you up to possibilities you never imagined."
