An animation about the absurdity of Christian concepts of judgement, punishment, reward, sin, heaven and hell. These concepts continue to persist, not through intelligent thought, but through emotional, and simplistic "need". This video took fricking ages! I'm aiming for above 20 views on this one. Together we can achieve that target! :) Please like, and favourite, and share and stuff. Discussion points I hope my video raises. 1) Ben essentially went to hell for doing one more kind deed than Dan. Fair? 2) A loving, forgiving god, sentences good people to torture. 3) God is happy to scare people into worshipping him. By simply being innately or happenstantially predisposed/vulnerable to biblical threats you are more likely to avoid torture. None of these points you directly control. Furthermore, god would have been aware of their inevitability since before time, as he would your ultimate fate anyway. 4) Knowing your loved ones are being tortured detracts from the "bliss" of heaven. If heaven is so great that you don't give a s # about your loved ones being tortured, that's really not a nice concept. 5) I reject those claims that say it's not really torture, its just a "separation from god". I counter that with...then I say the resurrection is also allegorical. However even if that were the case, it would still be an extraordinary naive and reprehensible system.
