Context for video. I absolutely love music but have never tried to play any musical instrument. 7 months ago at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown, I bought a cheap second hand keyboard on Shpock and decided to see if I could teach myself some of my favourite songs (Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi etc). This is the first song I attempted to learn. It's only once you try, do you realise that playing the piano isn't as easy as you'd think. I assumed you just had to wave your fingers around a bit and music happens. Au contraire. It's difficult, but absolutely rewarding. We all give ourselves (or are given) a narrative of who we are, and what we are good/bad at....we are so much more than that. Try something new!! Certainly plenty of practice needed....but it's a start. Better late than never! A significant departure from my "usual" videos. This was done purely to track my own progress, and I never intended it to be put on my channel or on YouTube, but if its beneficial to somebody, it's worth it! I might do some more? Peace!
