People often say that life is like a marathon. After giving it a quick thought....it's not really. I'm not sure whether this video has turned out to be really depressing, inspiring, or just objectively accurate. Music: 808_Doorbell_Chime Dom0ne Transcription: Life is just like running a Marathon. The only difference being that you choose to enter yourself voluntarily into a marathon, but in life you are entered into it by others. And, you can’t prepare for life by following a training regime to get yourself fit, but are forced to enter it at your absolute weakest. And you cant choose to start with people in waves of similar abilities, but are placed indiscriminately. Also not all entrants follow the same route. Some are given flatter, easier routes, whilst others are given significantly more difficult mountainous routes. But are still expected to compete. And instead of being able to research the marathon's route and terrain prior to race day, you are left scarily blind to what is to come. Instead of being surrounded by athletes in communal support and togetherness, you can often be surrounded by people who gain benefit by their detriment to you. Unlike a marathon, in life, you're not allowed to run at your own pace, but are compelled and forced to run at an exceptionally testing pace, beyond many people's abilities and desires. And you can't stop running until you cross the finish line, or pull out of the race through injury. Doing so would have suicidal consequences. And instead of being enthusiastically clapped and cheered towards the end of your race, just when you most need it, you are rewarded with the increasing fright and infertility of old age. Also rather than being rewarded with a medal and t-shirt once you cross the finish line, you receive nothing more than your own nonexistence for all your life's efforts. And this is the only opportunity you get to set your best time. You cannot improve upon it, or learn from it. It is a personal best that will stand forever, but will quickly become forgotten.
