Charles Wiles shares his excitement as he takes a closer look at a vehicle that a lot of people have been waiting for, the Nissan Titan XD. The reason why the Titan XD is one of the most highly-anticipated vehicles lies under its hood - a 5.0-Liter V8 Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. The monstrous Cummins engine which has 310 horsepower, 555 lb-ft of torque, a towing capacity of 12,300 lbs and a payload capacity of 2500 lbs will give you better fuel economy and better towing capacity, more durability and better longevity than gas motors. On the front end, Nissan uses projector head lamps which are brighter and more focused than regular headlights. An aggressive looking front end is made beautiful with the matte finished stainless steel looking grille. Fog lamps and front tow hooks are also integrated on the front end of the Titan XD. The 20-inch aluminum alloy wheel clad in black chrome surface deserves some real attention. The truck bed sports a power-assisted tailgate which has an electronic locking mechanism. You can hit the lock button on your keyfob and your tailgate locks as well. Inside the truck bed, you will immediately notice the aluminum tracking system on the bed floor and the side walls. The system is Nissan's very own Utili-Track system. It allows you to have tie-down points, bungee cord points for anything that you want to store in the back of the vehicle. There are also some weather stripped storage boxes where you can store your tools and maybe even some beverages on ice. The whole storage system can be removed and stored somewhere else in case you need more space in the bed of the truck. The Nissan XD featured in this video is the Platinum Reserve trim level. It sports a lot of advanced comfort and luxury features that are not present on the other trim levels. The two-tone leather front seats are not just heated but are also ventilated. Other features include steering wheel radio controls, steering wheel mounted cruise controls, handsfree Bluetooth, heated steering wheel, a full-color 7-inch touchscreen monitor, voice-activated navigation system, voice-activated stereo and built-in trailer brakes. With the Titan XD, Nissan brought its Rockford Fosgate® stereo system back which is known for being extremely loud and clear. Other remarkable features of the Nissan Titan XD are the power tilt-and-telescope steering wheel and memory seats.
