Jatamansi Jatamansi has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It has Tikta, Kshaya and Madhur Rasa, Lghu or light and Snigdha property, it has cold potency. Overall it is Pitta Dosha balancing drug, hence it controls hair fall. - Due to antifungal agent it revives roots of the hair and also helps in fighting scalp infections. It nourishes the scalp and roots to hold the hair follicles tightly. 2. Ashwagandha Ashwagandha is a herb which pacifies pitta, which is also one of the causes of hair fall. it is extremely rich in antioxidants. You can take ashwagandha supplements to reduce hair fall caused by pitta dosh. Along with building immunity, it helps in clearing away toxins from the body. You can take Ashwagandha powder 4 to 5 gm once or two times a day internally for 15 days and if required you can take it for another 15 days. Simply take with milk or water after meal. The herb, with a soothing aroma, helps you in having a good night's sleep and also prevents greyscale. 3. Bhringraj is also known as Kesharaj which means “Ruler of the hair”. It is rich in proteins, vitamins and antioxidants which help protect the body against certain infections. Bhringraj oil is effective in promoting hair growth as well as reducing the greying of hair. This is due to the presence of various nutrients in Bhringraj that provide nourishment to the hair scalp. 4. Amla is known as a natural remedy for hair growth because it boosts blood circulation to your scalp. It is an extremely rich source of Vitamin C and numerous other antioxidants and minerals essential for the body. Ayurveda links hair loss with certain impurities in the blood. And amla can help in purification of blood. Amla is helpful in reducing the greyscale and acts as a hair conditioner. It’s used to strengthen hair and promote hair growth. 5. Guduchi (Giloy) is known as the panacea herb in the ayurvedic system due to its protective and healing properties. It has antioxidant properties that help cure a range of hair problems thereby promoting hair growth.
