This is a quick promo for two online programs tomorrow with our people from Canada and May 10th with our people from Philadelphia. Thanks to Dr. Clyde Rivers from iChange Nations for the opportunity to work with his people. The S.O.G. Crew ​(Sons of God) is a Gospel Hip-Hop group based out of Anaheim, CA. Their style and message break modes creating a new genre of Hip-Hop being dubbed ‘cause music.’ More than music; it’s a message of hope, encouragement, and influence. The Crew has become a major impact on youth across the globe touring the U.S., Mexico, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and most of the Hawaiian Islands. This group has been invited to colleges, universities, high schools, prisons, rehabs, homeless shelters, project housing, military bases, churches, car shows, festivals, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington District of Columbia, and just about every Native American Indian Community in the U.S. They have worked with law enforcement agencies and local governments helping reduce crime in Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, and Northern California. They have also been featured in television (JCTV), radio (Clear Channel), movies, and movie soundtracks. Their 4th album titled "Fighting 4 Love" was recently distributed by Thump Records/ Universal Music Group. Dr. Robert "Battle Ax" Ornelas​ frontman for The S.O.G. Crew made history in 2012 when he was selected by the AIPCA Delegates in 2012 for his support of Israel and current activism throughout the country. First time in the history of the United States that a Hip-Hop artist and Latino with Mexican descent ran for the office of the U.S. Vice President. It was the second time in history that a person of Native American ancestry had vied for a Vice Presidential office. He was the second after Herbert Hoover’s Vice President, Charles Curtis, to have Native American ancestry. Dr. Robert Ornelas is the great-great-great-grandson of Chief Cristobal Osuna from a tribe in the San Diego Mountains circa the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo (1848). Ornelas is currently the California State Liaison for the American Independent Party and was recently honored with the Global Indigenous Leadership Icon Award through I Change Nations Led by Former President of the Republic of Malawi the honorable H.E. Joyce Banda. Today Bishop Ornelas lives in Anaheim, CA with his wife Melissa, his sons Jaycob and Joshua were they are involved in the Orange County Community. Robert mentors kids in most high schools in the United States through the Ron Serna Anti-Bully Program, The Bureau of Indian Education, LA School Art program (PACE) using Hip Hop to encourage students to continue their education, he is working with kids in the Los Angeles youth jails thanks to Probation Department and is preparing to release the groups' 5th album soon thanks to Thump Records/ Universal Music Group.
