How to reseal a fish tank. Today we fix a leaking juwel vision 450 which has all ready been repaired twice both times badly, We start by scraping out the old aquarium silicone using a stanley knife blade then we give the glass a good clean with Methylated spirit before applying the maskink tape and applying the new aquatic silicone to give it a nice new seal which now should last a good 10 years. The silicone used was purchased on amazon & is aquarium silicone which contains no fungisides so is friendly to fish and bacteria once cured.
