Today marks 4 years now since the most pivotal and tragic moments of my life. My Mother and I are incredibly lucky and fortunate to have survived a violent shooting encounter. Your perspective on life has a polarizing shift when 4 bullets nearly graze your head and torso, forensic detectives all informing you that you should have absolutely died...on your birthday. It was terrible day that I will never forget; however, it has also made me stronger, while broadening my appreciation of the fragile nature of life. I wrote this song to reflect on the anniversary of what could have been a far worse result and celebrate the triumph of rising from ruin and elevating yourself from your past. Yes, the album is on its way very soon. With the holidays and life getting in the way of itself, I've decided to share with you this song as a teaser for the full length and start the new year off strong with that and a music video for the title track "Skeleton Key".
