Walt Garrison & others The City of Willow Park is excited to announce the Rayfield Wright Celebrity Golf Tournament, to be held Monday, October 14, 2019, at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park. October 14 is the official “Rayfield Wright Day” in the City. Wright, who has been a resident of Willow Park for 15 years, played 13 seasons as a tackle for the Dallas Cowboys and earned first or second team all-NFL honors six consecutive times. Wright was selected to play in the Pro Bowl after each of those seasons. Wright played in five Super Bowls and earned two Super Bowl rings. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2006. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the City of Willow Park’s Fire and Police Departments. The tournament will feature celebrity golfers and participants can sign up for an opportunity to include one of the celebrities on their team. A lengthy roster of NFL Hall of Famers including Wright are on board to play and/or make appearances at the event. The day will also include lunch, dinner, and a benefit auction for Willow Park’s public safety departments. Featured items include a gold 100-year anniversary helmet signed by Rayfield Wright, Jim Brown, Jim Kelly, Joe Green and other Hall of Famers, a tour of The Star and Dinner at The Star with Rayfield Wright, and other exclusive memorabilia.
