Drew Schultz's video: Drew Schultz The Broken Habits - What I d Do For You Live at 20 Front Street

Our upcoming live album, "Drew Schultz & The Broken Habits - Live at 20 Front Street" comes out on Saturday, March 16th! Today marks the 51st anniversary of the first Classic Motown album to hit the spot in the UK, 1968's Greatest Hits collection by the Four Tops. That compilation album spent 16 consecutive weeks in the UK top 10! This song, "What I'd Do For You," was originally written for my Back To Class album with 50% of profits benefiting the music programs in the Detroit Public Schools. Featured on the original recording were none other than the Four Tops alongside James Jamerson Jr., son of the legendary Funk Brothers bassist. I always love playing this tune live, and the improvisation by Mike Harrison, Matt Ryan, Carlton Washington, and Trish Shandor echoes the jazz music that influenced the Tops and Funks themselves.
