@ARCTIC SLEEP "outside night noises" (uncut field recording, 2019)

Taken outside of Nada Recording Studio in Montgomery, NY. During the recording sessions for the Arctic Sleep album "Kindred Spirits," I was standing outside for some fresh air one night listening to the symphony of night-time insects; crickets & katydids etc. Sounded very cool... so I said "DUDE... let's point a couple mics at the forest and record it!" Pointed two condensers in either direction and panned them L/R. A portion of this ended up in my song "Old Soul" on the album. Here is the full, unedited recording. Try it with headphones!
