Duke Lemur Center's video: SAVA Savvy with Laura De Ara

@SAVA Savvy with Laura De Ara
Thanks to DLC-SAVA liaison Laura de Ara, you can explore the incredible biodiversity and communities of people in the SAVA (northeastern) region of Madagascar, all from the comfort of your own home! Though we certainly love our lemurs, there's so much more to learn about this amazing place. But don't worry, there are still some lemur photos in there, too! A closed captioned version of this video is available here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=256077035699360. If you'd like to learn more about and support DLC-SAVA conservation programs, please visit: https://lemur.duke.edu/sava. Note: There is a minor misspeak around minute 37 of Laura's talk. Mirza are referred to in the literature as “giant mouse lemurs," not as dwarf lemurs. Because Mirza and Cheirogaleus are different genera, and because ecologically and physiologically they are different, it is incorrect to include them in the same category. Sorry for the confusion, and many thanks to DLC research scientist Marina Blanco, Ph.D. for the clarification!
