Dung Grin's video: How Everton fans responded to Liverpool s YNWA anthem ahead of FA Cup derby

@How Everton fans responded to Liverpool's YNWA anthem ahead of FA Cup derby
Everton fans turned their backs to the pitch as You’ll Never Walk Alone bellowed out at Anfield ahead of their FA Cup third round tie, something that was not gratefully received amongst the home crowd. The Blues took a stand against the famous anthem, with some putting two fingers up behind their heads. It’s a routine that they followed on their previous visit last month, when they were beaten 5-2 by the Reds. It was a match that proved to be the final straw for Marco Silva, who was sacked shortly after. Former Everton striker Gary Lineker tweeted a picture of the away section, captioning the image: “Turning the other cheek. @Everton fans’ reaction to YNWA.” Football fans began to engage in friendly banter below Lineker’s tweet. “Good on them. Nothing wrong with a healthy hatred of rival clubs,” one said. While one Liverpool fan hit back: “Probably tired of being reminded that they’re the city’s second-best team.” JUST IN: Chelsea willing to pay ‘big money’ for transfer target Frank Lampard has likened to Drogba  To which one responded jokingly: “Thought that was Tranmere?” “Excellent work Everton fans,” one Sheffield Wednesday supporter wrote. Another fan said: “They need to watch like that all year.” Ahead of the clash, new Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted that he lost out to Jurgen Klopp in the race to become the new Liverpool boss back in 2015. "It was after [I left] Real Madrid, I had a chat with the owner," Ancelotti said. DON'T MISS Man Utd scouts given Raul Jimenez assignment by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after three auditions [GOSSIP] Chelsea transfer target Timo Werner decides stance on securing Blues move this month [TRANSFERS] Borussia Dortmund used one Man Utd player against them to win Erling Haaland transfer race [REPORTS]  "They were looking for a new manager but I think they made the right choice with Jurgen. He is doing fantastic work at Liverpool, so well done. "Jurgen is my friend, we have a good relationship and I had the luck to beat him last season as well, although they won the competition. "At Napoli it was the same, we were able to do a great performance because to beat Liverpool you have to do a great performance, a normal performance is not enough. "Everything has to be perfect. You must work hard, sacrifice, show intensity - to beat them your game has to be complete. "You cannot defend for 90 minutes and we do not want to defend for 90 minutes. We want to have the possibility to play our football."
