Leicester were Liverpool’s closest rivals in the Premier League table prior to kick off on Boxing Day, but they were worlds apart by the final whistle. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane had early chances for Liverpool but it the game ultimately belonged to Trent Alexander-Arnold who led Jurgen Klopp’s side to a convincing 4-0 win. READ MORE Leicester 0-4 Liverpool LIVE: Score and Premier League latest updates  Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane had a few early chances to break the deadlock but it took a piece of genius from Alexander-Arnold with an inch-perfect cross to Firmino who couldn’t miss to get the game underway. His second assist of the game was rather fortuitous as his corner was then handled by Caglar Soyuncu with James Milner dispatching the penalty, but there nothing fortunate about his third of the game after finding Firmino once again with a delightful low cross from the right, with the Brazilian tucking it away into the top corner. To top things off for the 21-year-old, Sadio Mane set him up before unleashing a fierce shot from outside the box past Kasper Schmeichel before wheeling off to celebrate in front of the Liverpool fans. The win moved Liverpool 13 points clear at the top of the table with Manchester City hoping to close that to 11 when they take on Wolves on Friday.
