@Takumi Minamino gets chatty with Mohamed Salah as Liverpool signing trains for first time
Liverpool new boy Takumi Minamino has trained with his new Reds team-mates ahead of his January 1 move to Anfield and the Japan international seems to have taken a shine to Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping the duo can translate their budding friendship into top-quality on-field performances with Liverpool still targeting success on three fronts this season. Minamino was pictured stood alongside Liverpool forward Salah as Jurgen Klopp’s side made their way out for training at Melwood on Tuesday evening. The Premier League leaders are not back in action until Thursday night’s showdown with Sheffield United and while the £7.25m signing is unlikely to feature, he’s clearly striking up a relationship with Salah. The pair appeared to be in good spirits at Melwood, with Minamino and Salah both smiling as Liverpool got ready to host Chris Wilder’s Blades at Anfield. Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian also gave Minamino a warm welcome, putting his arm round the 24-year-old, who was looked at by AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach before Michael Edwards swooped. JUST IN: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp drops award admission  Minamino, who met with his new manager Klopp and greeted his team-mates at Melwood earlier in the day, got stuck into training in the cold Merseyside weather on Tuesday evening. He was pictured juggling a ball on his own, volleying a ball back to a team-mate and engaging in what looked like a game of keep-ball with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Adam Lallana and Andy Robertson. Liverpool’s current good form means Klopp is under pressure to throw the soon-to-be ex-Red Bull Salzburg ace into the mix against Sheffield United. And Klopp hinted last week that he will allow the former Cerezo Osaka star to have a bedding-in period, despite his suitability for the club’s demands. "The ways in which we play are not too different, there are a lot of things which he has learned already at Salzburg," Klopp said. DON'T MISS Liverpool transfer deal for Timo Werner under threat [GOSSIP] Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's No 1 transfer target [INSIGHT] Liverpool handed Premier League title advice [QUOTES] READ MORE Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp expecting Adam Lallana to leave in summer  "That makes it so good for us, actually. We have a lot of patterns on the game which are different to what Salzburg are doing. "So, offensively, when you speak about what he is used to, it is more or less defensively. He is an offensive player, so offensively how can we bring him into a situation that he feels completely comfortable and to use the things instinctively and not because we told him? "That’s what we speak every year about when we say [about new signings], ‘Why he is not already in?’ all the time and stuff like this. There is no pressure, there is absolutely no pressure, when he is coming in January. "This team is not struggling without him, so what we want is extra quality with him, different quality with him and a really, really good player. That’s what we got
